The Community Justice Network (CJN) is a system of organizations based in Fresno’s most vulnerable communities, committed to shifting toward a community-centered public safety model designed to ensure the safety of all Fresno residents.

The California Avenue Neighborhood Choice Neighborhood project is an intentional and compassionate effort to implement a dignified community development process that will result in new housing developments reflecting the connectedness, creativity, and culture of current and past residents. This project will promote stability for young people, aging adults, and those who’ve been disproportionately impacted by unfair development in the past. Every community asset will have a place in this project. From schools and faith communities to artists and entrepreneurs, the CAN Choice Neighborhoods project will look, feel, and progress with residents at the forefront of the process.
